Md. Clearing Bay Bridge, Preparing For Next Storm

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland transportation officials are warning drivers there may be delays at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge during Friday afternoon's rush hour.

The Maryland Transportation Authority says cleanup of snow is underway from the most recent winter storm, and officials are preparing the bridge for another storm expected Friday evening.

Officials say they are preparing the bridge to prevent the need to implement two-way traffic operations. That's when one lane of the eastbound traffic is directed onto the westbound bridge span.
