Md. Bus Driver Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say they have charged a bus driver with sexually assaulting a passenger.

Police announced Wednesday that they arrested Rigoberto Adonay Galindo Lemus, 47, of Olney on Jan. 9.

Police say that an adult woman told police in December she was assaulted by the driver of a Ride On bus in the area of the Shady Grove Metro station. Police say that on Dec. 12 the woman passed an out-of-service bus while walking. The driver, Lemus, allegedly invited her on the bus to stay warm and inappropriately touched her while she was on the bus.

Lemus is charged with two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of committing a fourth-degree sex offense. Lemus' attorney did not immediately return a telephone message Wednesday.
