Mayor Helps Open Baltimore's Christmas Village

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is celebrating the opening of the 2014 Christmas Village in Baltimore.

The mayor is visiting the German-style Christmas market Sunday. It will operate at West Shore Park in the Inner Harbor through Dec. 24. This is the market's second year in Baltimore.

The indoor-outdoor Christmas Village features vendors, traditional European food, holiday entertainment and many Christmas lights and displays.

Organizers say more than 150,000 people visited the Christmas Village last year.
