Mass Casualty Declared After I-295 Crash Involving Several Cars
BALTIMORE (WJZ) - Fire and EMS Officials in DC declared a mass casualty Thursday morning after a crash involving seven cars on southbound I-295 sends ten people to the hospital.
WUSA 9 reports the crash occured on southbound I-295 before Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave, where at least one car ended on top of another in the crash. Two lanes were shut down for hours but have since re-opened.

Officials declared this a mass casualty after reports say ten people were involved in the crash and sent to the hospital. One of the victims is suffering from life-threatening injuries, one in serious condition and eight with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
