Maryland Weather | Tornado Warnings Cancelled Monday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A tornado warning in effect for portions of Carroll and Frederick counties until 9:45 p.m. has expired.

Take cover now, if you're in the area. A tornado warning means that there's a strong cell of storms with rotation moving through.

Hail is possible along with heavy downpours and high winds.

Make sure you go to the most interior rooms and stay away from windows.

Severe weather is possible Monday afternoon and evening, following an intense week of heat in Maryland.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Dorchester, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Prince Georges and Queen Anne's, St. Marys, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, Worcester counties and Baltimore City until 10 p.m.
