Tree Goes Into Edgewater Home After Heavy Rain, Wind Rolls Through Maryland

EDGEWATER, Md. (WJZ) -- A tree went into a home in Anne Arundel County as heavy rain fell through much of the state on Thursday.

The tree fell into at home in the 100 block of Southdown Road in Edgewater, Anne Arundel Fire reported. The tree was actually from the neighbor's yard.

It was a minor incident and no one was injured. They turned it over to building inspectors to make sure everything was safe.

Baltimore Gas & Electric said it served thousands of customers as a result of the rain.

At one point, 6,000 people were without power across BGE's service area.

Flooding was also reported Thursday at City Dock in Annapolis and at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
