Maryland Weather: Severe Thunderstorms, High Wind Warnings For Friday
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- It's a very windy start to the weekend.
There is a high wind warning in effect from noon Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday. As of 11:15 p.m. there were less than 6,000 customers without power, according to BGE.
Baltimore, be careful out there! High winds are causing hazardous conditions and are expected to continue overnight. Please exercise caution when outside and on the road. Northwest winds were expected to be anywhere between 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. The strongest winds arrived late in the afternoon through the evening.

The areas affected include parts of northern and central Maryland, the Baltimore metropolitan area and parts of eastern West Virginia.
