Maryland Weather: Soggy Thursday With The Odd Shower & Storm

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After a foggy and soggy start to our Thursday, we'll be dealing with off-and-on rain all day.

While most of us should only see an inch of rain at most, higher amounts are forecast for areas north and east of the Baltimore metro area.

We could also see rain coming down hard enough at times to trigger flooding on the roadways, so take extra care if you're driving anywhere.

There's also potential for the odd thunderstorm, which could be particularly heavy in parts of Maryland that are southeast of the city.

We're looking at a high Thursday near 59 degrees, though it will feel slightly cooler outside.

While we could get the occasional shower into the evening hours, things will clear up and cool down Thursday night with a low of 44 degrees.

Get used to this damp weather, at least over the next couple of days, as we'll have off-and-on rain through late Friday evening.

With that in mind, it seems like canceling any after-school baseball or soccer games is a safe bet.

We'll start to dry out Saturday morning with only a slight chance of a fleeting shower after 2 p.m.

From there, things will stay dry and pleasantly mind through the Orioles' home opener on Monday.
