Maryland Weather: A Sunny, Mild Start To A Fabulous Weekend

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Just in time for the weekend, cooler and less humid conditions have arrived.

We're looking at a forecast afternoon high of about 81 degrees across central Maryland.

And since we won't be dealing with so much humidity, temperatures should feel like the low 80s.

Things cool down this evening to a clear and comfortable 60 degrees.

Our weekend is shaping up to be pleasant with plenty of sunshine and 80-degree temperatures.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and temperatures will only climb to about 83 degrees.

The story is basically the same on Sunday with partly sunny skies and a high of roughly 80.

In other words, it will be the perfect weekend to stretch your legs and spend some time outside.

Looking ahead to next week, we will have a couple of chances for some thunderstorms.

A mid-week warm front will creep up the Interstate 95 corridor and a cool front cuts across the Mid-Atlantic to end the week.

Neither of those chances look like they'll be dramatically severe, and we won't see a major dip or surge in temperatures.

After the past week's oppressive heat and humidity, we have finally turned a corner for the best.
