What's The Difference Between A Tornado Watch & Warning?

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The National Weather Service has canceled a Tornado Watch that was issued briefly for parts of Maryland.

But given the situation, we wanted to explain the different between tornado watches and warnings for those who don't know the difference.

A Tornado Watch means the conditions exist for a tornado to form, unlike a Tornado Warning, which means a tornado has been spotted.
