Maryland Terps Coach Turgeon's First Baltimore Recruit

Ken and Rob were joined by Maryland college basketball coach Mark Turgeon's first recruit out of Baltimore, Mount St. Joseph four-star guard Darryl Morsell.

Maryland basketball landed its second commit in the class of 2017 on Wednesday when Morsell announced his commitment to the Terps at a ceremony at his Baltimore high school.

Why Maryland? Morsell said, "At Maryland, I just felt at home. I felt comfortable with the players and I like the plan the coaching staff has for me."

The high school senior is Coach Mark Turgeon's first recruit from Baltimore.  The hope among Maryland fans is this could create a sort of "Baltimore pipeline" in coming years.

Morsell said, "When I put that Maryland jersey on, it's not just any other state. It's going to mean a lot more to me because I'm playing for the state of Maryland, where I'm from and the city of Baltimore."
