Pedestrian Killed On I-95 In Harford County After Leaving Disabled Vehicle

HARFORD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Maryland State Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian on Wednesday night along I-95 South at Route 24.

Police were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck near the 77 mile marker.

Officials announced the victim dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released.

Police said that the driver who struck the pedestrian stayed on the scene.

After authorities arrived they found a disabled vehicle north of the crash scene that belonged to the victim.

Harford County Southbound I-95 lanes were closed for about four hours so Maryland State Police could continue their investigation. Traffic was detoured at Exit 77. All lanes have since been reopened.
