TIMELINE: Light Snow, Flurries Continue As Winter Storm Moves Out Of Maryland
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Maryland saw its biggest winter storm of the year so far. WJZ's weather team is tracking this system that brought more than a foot of snow to parts of Maryland as it moves out of the state.
Winter storm warnings are in effect for the northern parts of Maryland through Tuesday, with areas roughly along and south of Interstate 70 under a winter weather advisory.

Tuesday morning, Feb. 2: Tuesday will feature light snow showers and times of flurries as the storm system slowly starts to pull away from the mid-Atlantic coast. Additional accumulations will range anywhere from 2-5" through Tuesday, with some locally higher amounts possible, especially for areas north and east. Expect winds to increase overnight as the Nor'easter strengthens off the coast. By Tuesday, winds could gust as high as 30 to 40 miles per hour depending on the location.
Motorists should be aware that visibility may be reduced to one-half miles at times during heavy snowfall.
