Maryland Senate To Take Up Cabinet Appointments

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The Maryland Senate is scheduled to take up some of Gov. Larry Hogan's Cabinet appointments.

The Senate could vote Friday on several nominations.

One of them is Pete Rahn, who is Hogan's choice to lead the Maryland Department of Transportation.

Ben Grumbles, Hogan's nominee for the Maryland Department of the Environment, also is scheduled to be considered by the Senate.

Rona Kramer, who is the nominee to lead the Maryland Department of Aging, also is part of the favorable report by the Senate Executive Nominations Committee that is coming before the full Senate.

The Senate also is scheduled to consider the nomination of Kenneth Holt, who is Hogan's choice for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.

The Senate already has confirmed 12 of Hogan's Cabinet appointments.
