Bundle Up For A Chilly Ride! Maryland Sees Coldest Day In Years
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Maryland is seeing the coldest day it's had in years.

An Arctic cold front is making its presence known in Maryland.
Temperatures early Tuesday morning in the Baltimore-Washington area ranged from 3 to 7 degrees above zero, but the wind chill will make it feel like it's below zero all day.
The temperature was 3 degrees at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport just before 6 a.m. Tuesday with a wind chill of minus 16.
Tuesday's temperatures broke a record at BWI for this date. Before Tuesday, the previous low for Jan. 7 was 8 degrees on Jan. 7, 1988.
In the western Maryland city of Oakland, the National Weather Service forecasted an overnight low of 21 below zero early Tuesday morning. That would break a record for that date of minus 11, set in 1988.
The coldest temperature ever recorded in Oakland was minus 40 degrees, on Jan. 13, 1912.
Back in the metro area, highs on Tuesday will only reach into the lower teens and perhaps single digits for spots north and west of Baltimore City.
Overnight lows will plummet again into the single digits Tuesday night while wind chills make it feel 10-15 degrees below zero!
Future:
After Tuesday, things will improve. Wednesday, it will be 27 degrees. Thursday will be 38 and Friday will be 42. Saturday and Sunday, we'll reach the 50s.
