Maryland National Guard Celebrates U.S. Army's 244th Birthday

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Happy birthday to the Army!

The Maryland National Guard celebrated the Army turning 244-years-old on Friday.

There was a cake at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore and also a look back at the Army's history.

The U.S. Army was founded in 1775 as the Continental Army.
