Maryland Man Arrested In Wife's Shooting

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- Carroll County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man in his wife's shooting.

The sheriff's office said Thursday that they responded to a call about a shooting in New Windsor on Wednesday to find a woman with a gunshot wound to her neck.

She was treated by medics at the scene and then taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The sheriff's office says the neck wound was not life-threatening and that the woman already has been released from the hospital.

Deputies arrested the woman's husband, 42-year-old Keith Sluder, after a brief struggle. It's unclear whether he has an attorney.
