Maryland Casinos Generate $86 Million Last Month

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland's five casinos raked in more than $86 million last month, but that figure is down by 3 percent from the same month last year.

That figure doesn't include the opening of Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in August.

New revenue figures showed that three out of the other four casinos all saw higher revenues last October than this October. Hollywood Casino Perryville saw revenues drop to $6 million last month, an 11 percent decrease from last October's revenues.

Maryland Live Casino's revenues fell by 3 percent to $50 million. The Casino at Ocean Downs fell 2.7 percent to just over $4 million.

The only casino that saw greater October revenues this year was Rocky Gap Casino Resort, which saw revenues hit $3.8 million, an 11 percent increase.
