Maryland Bill Would Make It Legal For Kids To Open Lemonade Stands

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- Did you know that it's illegal to have a lemonade stand in the State of Maryland?

Well, now there's a bill making its way through the General Assembly that could sweeten things up for all the young entrepreneurs out there.

The bill would ban cities and counties from stopping or regulating minors from selling non-alcoholic drinks on private property.

The current law requires permits and licenses before kids can legally open a lemonade stand.
