GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Jose Cuas drove in three runs to help Maryland beat Florida State 5-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

Cuas hit a two-run double in a four-run third inning, then added a sacrifice fly in the seventh on Friday to give the sixth-seeded Terrapins (36-19) a 5-0 lead.

The second-seeded Seminoles (42-15) scored three in the eighth, two on wild pitches and one on an RBI single from John Nogowski.

Mike Shawaryn (10-3) earned the win, allowing two hits in seven innings.

Mike Compton (7-2) took the loss, pitching 6 1-3 innings and allowing two earned runs. FSU committed two of its three errors in Maryland's big inning.

The Terrapins improved to 11-0 in May, including 2-0 in pool play at the ACC tournament.
