Marshals Arrest N.C. Murder Suspect In Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- The U.S. Marshals Service says it has arrested a North Carolina murder suspect in Frederick.

Deputy Marshal David Lutz says Reginald Odell was arrested Friday at a friend's apartment on South Market Street.

Odell, 34, is charged with first-degree murder in the Dec. 30 shooting of Dorian Miles near Lilesville, N.C. He also is charged with assault with intent to kill Hasson Pressley, who was shot in the chest.

Lutz says Odell was approved for extradition to North Carolina during a hearing Friday afternoon in Baltimore County Circuit Court in Towson.

Lutz says Odell is a Baltimore area native with family in Windsor Mill. He says U.S. marshals learned that friends and family members in Maryland were helping Odell evade arrest.
