Mark Turgeon Previews Sweet 16 On Sports Rehab
Maryland basketball coach Mark Turgeon joined Sports Rehab to preview the Terps Sweet 16 matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks.
The interview began with Bob asking Coach Turgeon if making the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2003 was a motivating factor in the first two games of the NCAA Tournament. "It really wasn't" said Turgeon. "I didn't know it had been that long but its a big step for us." Coach was then asked what was the turning point in the second round game against Hawaii. "Our defense was terrific the whole game" Turgeon replied. "We were really dialed in and I knew once we separated ourselves we would be fine."
