Marijuana Found After Police Investigate Car Accident

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- Police have arrested a man after finding marijuana while investigating a car accident in Anne Arundel County.

Officers responded to a report of a car accident on Route 10 in Glen Burnie at 5:42 p.m. on Friday. According to police, a 2001 Dodge pickup had collided into the back of a 1998 Ford pickup.

When officers arrived to the scene, they noticed a strong marijuana smell coming from the Dodge pickup.

Police said they saw a mason jar full of marijuana in plain view on the floor board of the truck. According to police, the mason jar was filled with almost $1,500 worth of marijuana, which is roughly 292.06 grams.

Police arrested the 25-year-old Dodge driver, Justin Andrew Hartman. He is being charged with drug possession and distribution.
