Man Struck, Killed By Train; MARC Penn Line Service Affected

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- After a man was struck and killed by a train at the Odenton MARC station Wednesday morning, Penn Line service was suspended in both directions for a time, according to Anne Arundel County authorities.

Train service has since resumed, with restrictions and delays.

Officials say it happened around 7:16 a.m. and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

MDTA and Amtrak are investigating, and the D.C. Metro is honoring Penn Line tickets.

Amtrak says there were no injuries among the 170 passengers aboard the train.
