Suspect Arrested For March Murder Outside BP Gas Station

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police have arrested a 44-year-old man for a March murder that happened in the parking lot of a BP gas station.

Eugene Cartwright has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Claud Maid, who was killed on March 29.

Officers found Maid in the parking lot of the BP gas station located in the 5100 block of Reisterstown Rd.

Maid went into cardiac arrest, and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives interviewed witnesses and reviewed nearby surveillance video. They saw a suspect in the footage, and were able to identify him as Cartwright.

Cartwright was arrested on Friday, and currently has no bail.
