Pedestrian Hit By MARC Train In Prince George's County Dies

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- A southbound MARC Camden Line train hit and killed a pedestrian in Prince George's County Friday evening, officials said.

The crash happened between the Muirkirk and Greenbelt stations around 5:20 p.m., county police said.

The MTA reports multiple trains had been delayed or have had their trips canceled due to the crash.

Commuters from D.C. were told to take the Penn Line if possible.

It's unclear why the man was on the train tracks at the time.
