Man's Body Found At Pennsylvania Recycling Center

YORK, Pa. (AP) — Authorities are trying to identify the body of a man found on the conveyer belt of a central Pennsylvania waste recycling center.

Employees at Penn Waste in Manchester Township called Northern York County Regional Police shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday after finding the body as they were sorting recyclables.

The York County coroner's office said an autopsy is planned Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Penn Waste spokeswoman Amanda Davidson said the man wasn't an employee of the company.

She said the facility covers south-central Pennsylvania but also accepts items from other haulers, including ones in Maryland.

Police said they are trying to identify the man and determine where he came from and when his body arrived at the facility.
