Man Was Not Wearing Seatbelt In Fatal Single-Car Crash

BEALLSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say a man was killed when his car left the road, hit a utility pole and overturned.

It happened about 4 a.m. Thursday in Beallsville. Officers say a car driven by Kenneth James Lovelett, 58, was traveling east on Darnestown Road.

Police say the car traveled into the westbound lane, and left the road. Authorities say the car hit a utility pole, overturned and came to rest at the entrance to the Woodstock Equestrian Park.

Officers say Lovelett, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
