73-Year-Old Man Charged With Fatal BW Parkway Hit-And-Run

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — The man responsible for the fatal hit-and-run on the Baltimore Washington Parkway has turned himself in on Wednesday.

Police say 73-year-old Earl Teeter, of Hyattsville appeared before a judge on Thursday, after he allegedly struck a vehicle along the BW Parkway and then left the scene. The crash occurred on the north bound side of the Baltimore Washington Parkway just north of Route 197.

38-year-old Rick Warrick, of Washington D.C. was changing a tire while his fiancee was holding a flashlight when the two were hit.

Rick Warrick died as a result of the crash , police said.

Warrick's two teenage children were sitting in the car at the time. The family was heading to Dave and Buster's at Arundel Mills Mall.

Teeter is scheduled for trial on June 8, 2015.
