Man Suspected In Anne Arundel Purse Snatching Arrested
BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WJZ) -- Anne Arundel County police arrested a man in connection with a suspected robbery outside a Brooklyn Park Pizza Hut.
Eric Rondell Downey, 36, of Essex turned himself into police Thursday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Through tips and a police investigating, Downey was identifed as a suspect in the March 15 robbery. Police said female victim struggled with the suspect, even biting him, but he still got away with her purse.
He was charged with robbery, second degree assault, theft less than $1,000 and stealing another's credit card.
Downey is being held on $500,000 bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
