BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 53-year-old man was hospitalized on Friday after plunging 40 feet into a container hole on a ship moored in Baltimore, authorities said.
Crews were called to the scene, located near the 3800 block of Newgate Avenue, before 5 p.m., according to the Baltimore City Fire Department.
When they arrived, they hoisted the victim out of the hole using the stokes basket and a crane on the ship, fire department spokesperson Sam Johnson said in a news release.
