Man Struck And Killed On I-95 Near Arbutus

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--I-95 is back open on Wednesday after a man was struck and killed by a car near Arbutus yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened around 6:00 p.m. in the southbound lane of I-95.

According to police, 29-year-old Ever Mauricio Osorio Fajardo was fatally struck on I-95 while standing outside of his 1997 Ford F-150.

Police say, for an known reason, a 53-year-old  driver operating a Chrysler Sebring was traveling southbound on I-95 when police say they crossed the travel lanes and drove onto the shoulder and struck Fajardo.

The driver of the Chrysler and other passengers of the truck were injured in the accident.

The crash closed two lanes of the interstate and backed up traffic for miles.
