AAA Employee Struck By Passing Car While Assisting Driver On Side Of Road In Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) — A man injured in a pedestrian crash has been identified as a AAA driver who was assisting a driver whose car was disabled on the side of MD 10 and Mountain Road on Wednesday.

Arsalan Tassaddique Khan, 27, of Millersville, was giving road service to the disabled motorist on the left shoulder of MD 10 when a Ford truck driving south struck the AAA employee.

He was taken to University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious injuries. The driver of the Ford truck remained on the scene.

Police said the Ford truck driver, identified as Steven Michael Robinson, 50, of Baltimore, failed to stay in a single lane, and alcohol and/or drugs may have contributed to the crash.

The Traffic Safety Section is handling the crash investigation and the case will be reviewed by the States Attorney.
