Man Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Lightning In Patapsco Valley State Park
WOODSTOCK, Md. (WJZ) -- A man was seriously injured after being struck by lightning Thursday afternoon.
According to Baltimore County Fire's Twitter page, the person was struck in Patapsco Valley State Park on the Baltimore and Howard county line.
The man was in a wooded area at the time, officials said.

The force threw the man down an embankment, where firefighters rescued him with an ATV, officials said.
Firefighters said it's important to watch for storms before heading outdoors.
"The importance of knowing the weather forecast if you're going into wooded areas or wherever you may be partying today on the Fourth and through the weekend, make sure you're paying attention to the weather," said Baltimore County Fire Lt. Travis Francis.
The man was taken to Shock Trauma with serious injuries.
