Police: 1 Killed, 1 Injured In Separate Shootings In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say a man was fatally shot and another was wounded after being shot in the face in separate shootings Saturday night in Baltimore.

Officers were called to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Roberts Street by a concerned citizen around 5:43 p.m. Police found a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment, authorities say.

Investigators say the shooting happened in the 1300 block of Fremont Avenue.

The second shooting occurred around 8:28 p.m. in the 4600 block of York Road. Officers found a 35-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he died.
