Man Sentenced To 90 Years For Shooting 2-Year-Old

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A man who prosecutors say shot a 2-year-old while trying to kill someone else has been sentenced to 90 years in prison.

Thirty-one-year-old Charles Dante Patterson was sentenced Monday in Baltimore County Circuit Court. He had been convicted of attempted first-degree murder in June.

Prosecutors say on March 3, 2014, Patterson and his brother, Kenneth Brooks, followed a man with whom their family had a dispute.

Authorities say Patterson shot into the man's car, grazing the 2-year-old's head and injuring her with flying glass.

Brooks was convicted of attempted first-degree murder and sentenced to 70 years in prison.
