Man Sentenced To 3 1/2 Years In Bank Robberies

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A Washington man has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for his role in bank robberies in the district and Maryland.

Twenty-five-year-old Keith McBride had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank robbery. He was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Greenbelt.

According to his plea agreement, McBride and others robbed four banks between March and May 2013. Prosecutors say McBride and his conspirators stole vehicles for getaway cars, wrote notes to give to tellers and used juveniles to commit the robberies.
