Man Sentenced For Using 'Kik' App To Solicit Sex With 12-Year-Old Girl

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WJZ) -- A Prince George's County man gets 10 years suspended for soliciting sex with a minor.

Vincent Paul Hill, 22, was sentenced Friday for using the "Kik" messenger app to send sexually explicit messages and photos to a 12-year-old girl.

The girl first reported to police last year that she had been communicating with a man soliciting her to engage in various sex acts.

Detectives were eventually able to identify Hill, using the girl's cell phone.

Hill apologized in court, calling the case an "extreme wakeup call for me."
