Man Sentenced For Saying `Bang Bang' In Court

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A man who said "bang bang" to the mother of a victim in court after he was sentenced has been given a longer prison terms.

Twenty-four-year-old Devon Naeem Davis of Hagerstown was sentenced to two more years in prison Thursday in Washington County Circuit Court. He had pleaded guilty to retaliation against a witness for reporting a crime.

Prosecutors say on May 15 in the same court, Davis was sentenced to four years after being convicted of indecent exposure and second-degree assault against a pre-teen girl. Authorities say after Davis sentenced, he looked at the victim's mother and said in a loud voice, "bang bang."

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that assistant public defender Thomas Tamm said Thursday that Davis has had a dysfunctional family life.
