Man Out On Bail On Murder Charge Arrested On Drug Offenses

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County say a man out on bail awaiting trial on a murder charge was arrested in a mall on drug offenses.

Twenty-five-year-old Tahzay Brown of Glen Burnie was arrested Monday at the Westfield Annapolis mall on drug distribution charges.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that police found Brown at the mall after a reported theft at a hotel. Officers say Brown and another man had suspected heroin, cocaine, MDMA and marijuana when they were arrested in the mall's food court.

Brown and his cousin are charged with first-degree murder in the April 2013 shooting death of 32-year-old John Ray of Huntingtown. Ray was found dead in a car.

Brown had been free on $500,000 bail. An Anne Arundel County Circuit Court judge revoked his bail this week.
