Man Loses Finger In Roman Candle Incident In Sykesville

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A man lost his finger after a Roman candle malfunctioned in Sykesville Sunday night, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal.

Authorities responded to the incident, at the 100 block of Zinnia Court, around 9:30 p.m.

According to the report, the device detonated unexpectedly, amputating his right ring finger above the knuckle.
