Man Killed In Crash In Wet Conditions On Interstate 68

GRANTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- State police say a 27-year-old western Maryland man was killed in a crash in wet conditions on Interstate 68.

Police say Justin Compton of Grantsville was heading east in a 1996 BMW on Saturday evening when it began to fishtail. The vehicle crossed the shoulder and hit a rock wall. The crash occurred near the 17-mile marker in the Grantsville area.

Police say Compton wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The crash is under investigation.
