Man Injured In Police-Involved Shooting Charged With Murder

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A man who was injured a police-involved shooting is now charged with murder.

Police say Keith Davis Jr. shot and killed 23-year-old security guard Kevin Jones early the morning of June 7. Jones was walking to Pimlico Race Course for work.

Five hours later in Park Heights, police say Davis led officers on a chase into an auto garage. He had attempted to rob an unlicensed cab driver.

Davis confronted police with a gun. Officers then discharged their weapons.

Davis was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his face.

Police were able to match Davis to the murder of Jones using fingerprints and ballistics.

He is now charged with first-degree murder, in addition to other counts.
