Man Injured In Anne Arundel County Dump Truck Crash

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Police in Anne Arundel County say a 20-year-old man who was driving a dump truck is seriously injured after crashing in Tracy's Landing.

Police say it happened just before 8 a.m. Saturday at E. Bay Front Road between Nutwell Sudley Road and Route 2.

Police say a witness reported the dump truck driver was traveling westbound when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line and went over a guardrail and into an embankment. He then crashed into a tree.

The driver of the dump truck was taken to a hospital by helicopter. Police say he is in stable condition. Police say no one else was in the vehicle. The driver's name was not released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
