Man Indicted For Negligent Manslaughter In Car Crash

SNOW HILL, Md. (AP) -- A Philadelphia man has been indicted on charges of negligent manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol in a crash that left a woman dead and left him and two children injured.

Sixty-three-year-old Robert Tabourn Sr. was indicted July 21 in the Thanksgiving Day crash, The Daily Times of Salisbury reported Tuesday (http://delmarvane.ws/1MtpTRy).

Maryland State Police said the crash occurred early on Nov. 27 on Route 113 near Snow Hill. Troopers said Robert Tabourn drove a Gold Ford Explorer off the road and into a tree.

The front-seat passenger, 27-year-old Jhoanna Lynn Tabourn of Philadelphia, was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers do not know how or if the Tabourns are related.

Robert Tabourn and Jhoanna Lynn Tabourn's two children were taken to hospitals in Baltimore after the crash.
