HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a Glen Burnie man is dead after he was hit by a tractor-trailer while walking along Interstate 70 near Hagerstown.

Police say 21-year-old Matthew Poe died Wednesday at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. He was struck shortly after 6 a.m. near the Walnut Point Road overpass, several miles west of the city.
