Man Dead, Woman Wounded In Cumberland Double-Stabbing

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- A Cumberland man has been arrested in a double-stabbing that left one man dead and a woman in the hospital.

The Cumberland Police Department says they responded to a Cumberland home on Thursday night and found two stabbing victims and a number of witnesses.

The man who'd been stabbed, Christopher Wigington of Cumberland, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 26-year-old woman who hasn't been identified is being treated at a hospital for her injuries. Her condition was unclear Friday morning.

Police arrested and charged 26-year-old Ralph Faith Jr. with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment. No attorneys are listed for him in online court records.

It wasn't immediately clear Friday whether Faith knew the two victims.
