Man Dead After Solo-Car Crash In Anne Arundel County

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) -- Police say a man is dead after a solo-car crash in Anne Arundel County.

Police say it happened early Saturday on the exit ramp from Interstate 695 east on to the Arundel Expressway.

Police say a preliminary investigation has revealed that a Nissan SUV struck a guardrail, rolled and came to rest on the passenger side.

Police say the driver of the car was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. Police say the man, identified as 29-year-old Brian Michael Tiesi of Glen Burnie, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the preliminary cause of the crash appears to be driver error. Police say speed does not appear to be a factor but there were signs of possible alcohol use.
