Man Convicted Of Sexual Assault In Hopkins Rape Case

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A man is convicted of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at a Hopkins frat party.

Jurors voted to convict 20-year-old Ethan Turner of Reisterstown of second-degree sex offense and second-degree assault.

He was accused, along with another man, of forcing sex on the intoxicated victim in the basement of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house in 2014.

Turner was acquitted of second-degree rape -- the most serious charge he faced.

The other man -- 22-year-old Chaz Haggins -- pleaded guilty last week to rape.

He received 20 years in prison, with all but five years suspended.

Sentencing for Turner is set for April 7.
