Man Convicted Of Killing 2 Outside Bed-And-Breakfast

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A North Carolina man has been convicted of fatally shooting two men outside a mid-town Baltimore bed-and-breakfast.

A Baltimore Circuit Court jury on Monday convicted 28-year-old Quinton Bass of Raleigh of two counts of first-degree murder and other offenses in the August 2012 slaying of 40-year-old Alex Ulrich and 56-year-old Larry Peterson.

Prosecutors say Bass shot Ulrich and Peterson in front of Peterson's Baltimore bed-and-breakfast. Authorities say the men did not have any money to give the would-be robbers, and Bass fired at them.

Ulrich died later that day. Peterson died nearly two years later.

The Baltimore Sun reports (http://bsun.md/1guefJA) that Bass faces a maximum sentence of two life terms plus 140 years.
